Henry Antwi

Ing. Henry Antwi is an Australian-based Mining Engineer and Mineral Economist known for his distinguished expertise across the global mining and metals industry. His three-decade career reflects a robust combination of technical excellence and strategic leadership across continents, including Ghana, the US, Canada, Australia, and the Sultanate of Oman.

His background spans diverse executive roles in Mining Engineering, Mineral Economics, Operational Improvement, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Mining Policy, and Investment Analysis at major international firms such as Ashanti Goldfields, BHP, Runge Consulting, and Minerals Development Oman.

Henry is highly involved in industry governance, having served on various Executive Committees and Boards internationally. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and was honored with the AusIMM 2021 Resources Sector Award for his significant contribution to the global mining sector and advisory support to governments.

Academically, he holds a Masters’ Degree in Mining Engineering and Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines (USA) and a degree in Business Administration from Curtin University (Australia). He is also a published author and frequently lectures at the University of Mines and Technology in Ghana.
